== Use group meeting in Paris, France 2008 ==

When: April 28, 2008

The event was hosted in the office of Tharsis Software by Serge Lages. Parallel to the meeting Paul Martz and Bob Kuehne were givin an OSG  training course. There were some food and drinks served. Afterwards we were sitting around and discussing life-problems in an irish pub by drinking Guiness ;-)

== User group meeting in Washington, DC ==

Where: Hotel Helix, Washington, DC[[BR]]
When: January 23, 2008

The event was planned by Paul Martz and Bob Kuehne, who were giving an OSG class Jan. 21-23 in Washington. The meeting place was a conference room in the hotel. Attendees included (please add/correct this if necessary):

In general we went around discussing versions of OSG used, problems in our applications, what tools they used as well as suggesting possible solutions to specific problems or situations. We also had three quick demos:
 * Paul demonstrated his osgOQ nodekit which is now integrated into the core OSG,
 * Donald showed some very nice videos of what they're doing with [http://www.ilight.com/fieldview.php real-time visualization of large CFD result sets], 
 * Jean-Sébastien did a quick presentation and demo of the integration of [http://www.cm-labs.com/software/vortex/ the Vortex physics engine] with OSG in various simulators.
