Joe Sullivan: military instructor at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Ca. The tutorials I helped to create were built to support the graphics courses for the Computer Science and Modeling Virtual Environments and Simulation (MOVES) curricula. Hopefully they are helpful to folks other than those enrolled in the course! They are a bootstrap effort - if you have suggestions for improvement or note technical errors, please let me know.

Currently working with a small group putting together open source projects (OSG, ODE, openAL, ...) to create an open source game/simulation engine. The motivation is to provide students and researchers with a full-featured, flexible and robust tool that lets them create convincing simulations - with no restrictions on distribution. Code reuse enabled by open source software shifts the focus (and expense) of simulation to content creation. http://www.delta3d.org (Licensing terms: GNU LGPL).
