Added threading design paragraph

The OpenSceneGraph is a fast high level method of generating 3D computer graphics. As such it has a large number of powerful concepts embodied in its nodes, all of which deserve some description.

It is designed to support single threaded update, and multi-threaded rendering. It does not support multi-threaded update.

This page contains references to short articles describing key concepts. I'm not going to write them all, if you need an answer edit the most relevant page and leave a question. If you know the answer, please write it. If there is no relevant page, edit this page and make a reference then create the page and leave your question.

  • PatternS - references to patterns, how does a pattern relate to STL etc
  • NodeVisitor - what is it good for
  • StateSet- what is a state, stateset, how to use.
