The following are provisional plans, i.e., they aren't cast in stone so may change.

Mid term plans (through the coming year)

  • Config file support in osgViewer (Producer .cfg now done for 2.4, native .view partially completed)
  • Pbuffer support in osgViewer (done - available in 2.x onwards).
  • Support for geometry shader (completed for 2.4), instancing and anti-aliased FBO targets.
  • Improved shadows support
  • osgWidget NodeKit for 3D GUI
  • osgVolume NodeKit for volume rendering
